NWLA Master Gardener Activities
_______________________________________________________________________
Year-Round Activities:
NWLA Master Gardeners Tour des Jardins, Spring Plant Sale, Fall Bulb Sale, American Rose Center, Pioneer Heritage Center and more... 14 Le Tour des Jardins committees work just about year-round, selecting gardens for the next year just after the Le Tour des Jardins for that year. Then, after a short break, the committees begin working on getting vendors and food trucks for the RRRS, figuring out logistics, ordering plaques and presenting them to participating homeowners, working on getting head guides and garden guides for each garden, promoting the tour, preparing our home gardens, working the Red River Research Station gardens and greenhouses, and more! And...there are always activities that master gardeners participate in during the year to promote horticulture education. When an email goes out to the membership, all you have to do is answer the call to participate! ~ 2024
2024 Started off great for the Master Gardeners At the January meeting Community Grants were awarded to Bossier Parish School for Technology and Innovation ($2000) and Cedar Grove SDA Church ($4000).
