2019 Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners Community Investment Program

On September 1, 2018, the Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners (NWLAMG) will begin accepting applications for its 2019 Community Investment Program.   Applications for community grants and donations will be accepted.
NWLAMG will accept applications for projects in Bossier, Caddo, DeSoto, or Red River Parish that:
  • Promote good horticultural practices and horticultural education
  • Promote and involve the community in gardening
  • Enhance the quality and quantity of publicly accessible green spaces and gardens
  • Support the establishment of community and school garden programs, environmental improvement activities, and public horticultural events
  • Support the programs and mission of the LSU AgCenter.
Applicants must be located in Bossier, Caddo, DeSoto, or Red River Parishes. Eligible applicants include:
  • Any municipality or government entity or subdivision thereof
  • Any non-profit organization or entity such as a community garden, civic or garden club, school, neighborhood association, or tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization
  • Any faith-based organization or project that serves the general public on a non-denominational basis.
NWLAMG will accept electronic applications from eligible groups at nwlamggrants@gmail.com between September 1 and September 30, 2018.
Award decisions will be announced no later than December 31, 2018.
